Blackwood gave a good account of themselves last week against leaders Ebbw Vale and will have to be equally as good this week if they are to trouble undefeated Bargoed. The Blues blew away Llanharan with a strong second half performance and I think another convincing victory is on the cards for the hosts tomorrow.

Beddau v Bonymaen
A very difficult game to call with both sides evenly matched having won two matches out of six so far. Bony did pick up a win at Beddau in pre-season so may have the psychological edge heading into the match, especially with the Green and Golds carrying a few injuries in the squad. However, Beddau have proved strong at home and I’m going to go for a narrow home win.

Bridgend Athletic v Newbridge
Newbridge were a cut above their opposition last week and, in full back Ceri Young and fly half Neil Burnett, they have match winners. Athletic, though, tend to always produce at home and will be buoyed by their good win over Cardiff Met last week. However, I think Newbridge will be too strong at the end of the 80 minutes.

Cardiff Met v Ebbw Vale
The students have had a mixed start to the season: picking up three wins and impressing in spite of their loss to Bargoed, but weren’t at the races last weekend against Bridgend Athletic. They did, however, bag a midweek victory over Hartpury which is sure to instill some confidence. The Steelmen on the other hand have so far blown everyone away, with outside half Dan Haymon and flanker Ronny Kynes impressing, and I think this will be another comfortable win for Ebbw Vale.

Glamorgan Wanderers v Narberth
The Wanderers have managed to draw their last two matches, but you’d get long odds on another draw tomorrow however! They will be bolstered by the return of Reuben Tucker to the starting 15 this week, and were also well-organised in defence last time out. Narberth meanwhile have grown into the league but will have to endure a long journey tomorrow - though I don’t expect it to have too adverse an affect. I think the Otters will win, but it won’t be easy!

Llanharan v Tata Steel
Skipper Nathan Huish makes a welcome return for the Dairymen as they look to bounce back from their loss at Bargoed last week. They will face a touch test against Tata Steel and although the Margam outfit started the league poorly, they weren’t One West champions last season for nothing! I think this will be a good old fashioned forwards battle, another close match to call but I think the visitors will edge it.

Pontypool v Whitland
The basement battle sees two winless sides face off against each other, although the Borderers have managed to record a draw to go with their five losses. Both teams are in dire need of a confidence-boosting win and I think it will be Pooler that breaks their duck first: they have started well in all of their home matches and if they get their noses in front, I feel the visitors' heads may drop.
